How to glo and travel the CORRECT way.

Updated: Sep 29, 2021

Tickets are booked. Bags are packed. You are ready to go except one thing... YOU ARE PALE AND NEED A TAN!

Whether you’re heading to the beach, planning an international vacation, or spending your time off somewhere else, you might be considering getting a tan before traveling. Yet, you might be wondering what's the best way to maintain that beautiful spray tan while traveling? Maintaining your spray tan while traveling is actually much easier than many think. While taking care of your tan is still the same it's WHEN you get your tan that is actually a key player in keeping that glo while on vacation. It's NEVER a good idea to receive your spray tan the same day as you travel as there is much more room for error and an unfavorable outcome post rinse. Just like with any special event or occasion tan you want to receive it 2 days beforehand to allow your tan to fully develop and give yourself at least 1 cleansing shower. A spray tan will usually last about one week after application while traveling due to factors outside of our control. This time can be extended or shortened, depending on what you do while you have the spray tan on. If you’re swimming in a pool a lot, you’ll shorten your tan. If you shave, rub your skin vigorously with a towel, etc., you will shorten your tan.

Conversely, if you use sunless safe soaps/cleanser like our glo soap bar, self-tanners like our glo drops, and moisturize regularly with our coco tan extender, you can extend the life of the spray tan.

Treat your skin gently, and your spray tan will fade away naturally and beautifully just in time for your next session. Want to glo more often?
